  1. The role of AI in this situation is evident: the automation of routine work, such as screening resumes, gives HR a chance to shift towards more strategic goals, and the time-to-hire metric can be reduced by up to 50% (Tambe, Cappelli & Yakubovich, 2020). Onboarding and training are made AI-driven and standardised, decreasing the amount of manual errors and providing a guaranteed homogeneous experience, with a personalised touch (Upadhyay & Khandelwal, 2020). In the meantime, both predictive analytics and transparent algorithm audit can be used to match talent with business requirements, reducing turnover by almost a fifth and hiring bias by over 40% (Sparrow &Makram, 2022; Raghavan et al., 2020).
